SEGS 505 Urban Perspectives on Today's Christian Mission

An introduction to the history and theology of the city, the nature of urban needs, and the scope of Christian ministry within a variety of contemporary urban contexts. Issues of urbanization related to poverty and other social problems, community organization and development, and cross-cultural dynamics will be considered. The course will include both on-campus instruction and engagement with inner-city ministry in a variety of sites in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding urban areas.
