SEGS 508W Building Faith Communities in a Digital World

This online course will explore the nature and shape of the post-Google world, the relationship of new communications and social networking technologies to the theology and mission of the church, and the new forms of church that are emerging in this radically new context. What we believe and how we practice it are deeply affected by the new technologies. To better equip students for this world, course assignments require both hands-on application and online collaboration using many of these virtual tools. This course will emphasize collaborative learning through sharing resources, co-creatiing, and peer reviewing and grading.
