Church History Courses

SEHS 911  Reformations and Reformers of the 16th Century

A study of key persons, movements and events associated with the 16th Century reformation. Beginning with Jan Hus and the Council of Constance, we will consider Luther, Zwingli and Calvin particularly; movements such Anabaptism and the Bohemian Brethren; Catholic respondents such as Eramus, Theresa of Avila and Ignatius of Loyola; and conclude with the Council of Trent. References will be made to Reformation influences and prospects in the present.
