The course examines the biblical and theological underpinnings of personal stewardship and explores ways these fundamentals can be presented and taught to laity in the congregational setting. Before the three-day intensive begins, students will read the perspectives of two current Christian authors and write a 2-page theological reflection on their perceived growing edges concerning stewardship; then they will attend a three-day seminar together (Thursday evening to Saturday noon); finally students
will articulate in a final project a personal theology of stewardship that integrates their own ideas with denominational approaches.
Elective, 1 credit (two-day intensive)
