The course moves beyond introductory homiletics and practice of preaching toward a broader exploration of more recent trends in sermon creation and delivery. In addition to advanced readings and exercises, students will experiment with alternative models of sermon preparation and preaching. Students will also prepare funeral, wedding, baptism, crisis, and festival day sermons. A Supervised Ministry placement or approved alternative is required.
