An Episcopal priest and licensed psychologist, Jane is fascinated by the intersection of spirituality and psychology, and has explored this connection in ministry, private counseling practice, and teaching. She has served as chaplain in an Episcopal pre-K-12 school, a parish priest and coordinator of a parish-based spirituality center, director of a college counseling center, and adjunct professor in a DMin program at Virginia Theological Seminary. She has practiced as a psychologist and pastoral counselor in her private practice, Holistic Counseling Resources, since 1996.
Jane received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University and her MDiv from Drew University Theological School. She is a certified Labyrinth Facilitator and offers labyrinth retreats on such topics as forgiveness, the grief process, and life transitions.
Jane has traveled on pilgrimage to Chartres Cathedral near Paris (where the only existing original 13th century labyrinth is inset into the Cathedral floor), and has walked a 100 kilometer portion of the ancient pilgrimage route of El Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. Her interest in pilgrimage as a spiritual discipline is something she looks forward to sharing with the Moravian Seminary community.
An avid gardener, Jane loves to plant and tend perennials, vegetables, and raspberries. Her foolproof way of dealing with stress is to design and make wire and bead jewelry. |
