Academics at Moravian Seminary

The Moravian Seminary experience seeks to meld concepts, experiences and personal faith into a living theology that will inform and empower one's work in the world. Our programs seek to develop transformative leaders who will effectively serve as pastors, counselors, chaplains, educators, administrators and lay ministers.

Master Degree Programs:
Master of Divinity (MDiv)
 [91 credits]
   Designed to prepare individuals for ordained or specialized ministry.

Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling (MAPC)  [62 credits]
   Prepares counselors to treat the whole person by integrating    psychological and theological perspectives into their counseling    practice.

Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS)  [54 credits]
   Provices a theological foundation for those seeking further    education, a vocation in a religious setting, or as lay leaders.

Dual Degree Programs:
MDiv & Master of Social Work (MDiv-MSW)
 [129 credits]
   Prepares individuals to serve as leaders and counselors in ministerial    or administrative settings.

MAPC & Master of Social Work (MAPC-MSW)  [94 credits]
   Designed for students who choose to serve in an administrative    position in a social service/mental health organization.

Graduate Certificate Program:
Graduate Certificate in Formative Spirituality
 [21 credits]
   Grounds students in the contemplative tradition while offering
   hands-on opportunities for practical application within parish
   ministry settings, agencies and for individual practice.
