The Master of Divinity (MDiv) Degree

The Master of Divinity program (MDiv) is centered on Jesus Christ, serves the ministries and mission of the Church, and provides a foundation of knowledge, skills and experiences to prepare leaders for ministry.

The Moravian MDiv seeks to develop skills and abilities in our graduates so that they may become:

• faithful witnesses to the Gospel in word and deed;
• transformational leaders of individuals and communities of faith;
• capable of ministering to diverse individuals and groups as they
   encounter the challenges, changes, sorrows, and joys of life;
• committed to lifelong spiritual, vocational, and personal growth;
• thoroughly grounded in biblical, historical, and theological disciplines;
• knowledgeable of the beliefs and practices of one’s own faith
   tradition;
• open to God’s calling to new directions of life and faith.

The MDiv degree requires a total of 91 credits and can be accomplished in three years of full-time study. The program must be completed within six years.
