Master of Divinity (MDiv)

The Curriculum
At Moravian Seminary the MDiv degree requires a total of 91 credits of course work. This can be accomplished in three years of full-time study. The program must be completed within six years.

Additional MDiv Requirements

Students will have unique opportunties to grow personally and spiritually by engaging in programs outside of the traditional classroom. The following experiences are required of each MDiv student prior to graduation:
• attendance at 6 continuing education programs
• participation in Supervised Ministry settings
• participation in one Multicultural Awareness Seminar


The Concentration in Formative Spirituality
The Concentration in Formative Spirituality (12-credits) is ideal for students enrolled in the MDiv degree program who would like to focus their electives on contempletive practices and group spiritual formation. The courses in the Concentration ground students in the contemplative tradition while offering hands-on opportunities for practical application within parish ministry settings, agencies and for individual practice.
