The Master of Divinity & Master of Social Work program is ideal for students who seek to serve in ministry in traditional and non-traditional settings. In addition to developing skills for congregational leadership, graduates are prepared to serve effectively as counselors in a variety of contexts. The program also prepares individuals to hold administrative positions in human services/mental health organizations.
The MDiv–MSW program requires a total of 129 credits. This can be accomplished in 4 years of full-time study, as compared to 5 years if taken separately. The sharing of comparable requirements for both degrees, including shared field placements, enables the degree to be accomplished in less time than if pursued separately at both institutions.
In the MDiv–MSW program, students will take:

All students directly engaged in a Supervised Ministry setting as part of their Seminary program, with responsibility for individuals within a congregation or community agency, are required to file the appropriate background record checks with the Director of Vocations and Enrollment. These documents must be current and on file before a student may participate in a Supervised Ministry placement and register for specific courses, which include the following:
Contact the Director of Vocations and Enrollment for the appropriate forms. The cost of acquiring these record checks is the responsibility of the student.
