MTS practices a rolling admissions process. Prospective students may apply to begin their studies in any semester.
Admission requirements differ depending on the program to which the applicant is applying. Prospective students should complete their application online, additional materials such as transcipts and letters of recommendation may be mailed to the Office of Vocation and Enrollment. After all application materials are received they are reviewed by committee and admission status is determined.
It is recommended that the application process be started several months before the anticipated enrollment date in order to allow time for delivery and processing.
For students who request housing and/or financial aid we recommend that all application materials are received by these dates, to begin enrollment in the:
Fall Semester: March 1
January Term: October 1
Spring Term: October 1
Summer Term: March 1
Students are admitted to the Seminary under one of the following categories:
Degree and Graduate Certificate candidates are committed to a plan of study and to complete the program requirements within the appropriate period of time:
• Master of Divinity, 3-6 years
• Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, 2-6 years
• Master of Arts in Theological Studies, 2-6 years
• Graduate Certificate in Formative Spirituality, 2-6 years
Nondegree students are typically exploring a degree program, planning to transfer credits to a program at another institution, or are fulfilling a prescribed plan of academic studies. They receive graduate course credit for course work and are evaluated by the same criteria as degree candidates.
Auditors are interested in becoming familiar with the content of a course without the constraints of credit work. |
