The labyrinth is an ancient path of prayer and discernment that offers an experience of God’s grace.  It is a spiritual tool that can increase clarity of mind, give insight into one’s spiritual and emotional journey, and connect one to the Sacred.

Although God intends for us to be whole, somewhere on our life journeys we all encounter wounding (physically, emotionally, intellectually).  Sometimes we carry these wounds with us, unable or unwilling to forgive or let go.  This retreat will explore the nature of forgiveness and will make use of the labyrinth in facilitating forgiveness of oneself and others as we accept God’s generous love and healing grace.

Our facilitator for the day will be the director of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling program at MTS,
Jane Williams, Episcopal priest and licensed psychologist, professor and director of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling program at Moravian Theological Seminary. A graduate of the Counseling Psychology program at Lehigh University, Jane founded Holistic Counseling Resources, a thriving private practice in Berks County. She served concurrently as priest associate at Christ Church in Reading, and for the past 5 years, Jane has been Head Chaplain at St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, TN, serving as spiritual leader of 860 girls (preK through 12) and 150 faculty and staff. Jane’s passions are exploring the intersection of spirituality and psychology, teaching, counseling, gardening, designing jewelry, and pilgrimage.  She is a certified labyrinth facilitator and uses the labyrinth in spiritual direction, workshops, and retreats.
