Curious about how to plan a short-term mission trip? Come hear the experts. Learn about how to build a team, establish a presence on the mission field, develop long-term relationships and the logistics of what to take and how to ship supplies used in building relationships. Four presenters, representing experiences from over 125 trips, will take you through a step-by-step process.

Bring your team — each person can attend two sessions.


Distributing Aid and Supplies
Nelson Randolph, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church
Since 1999, Nelson has led over 75 mission trips and shipped 100 tons of aid. He’ll speak about how to gather, ship and distribute aid and supplies, including packing, airline regulations, shipping, customs, etc.

Preparing a Team
Lisa Mixon, Director of People in Mission, Moravian Church in North America
Learn how to prepare a team, including the spiritual, logistics, and team building aspects to prepare for a trip.

Developing a Long-Term Presence
Rebecca Craver, Associate Director of the Antioch Project, Moravian Church in North America
Rebecca will look at how to develop a long-term presence and talk about the Moravian House on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi that serves Katrina victims.

Developing a Long-Term Relationship with a Church in Another Country
Jan Marsh, Church to Church Partnerships, Lehigh Presbytery
Jan was a short-term mission leader for a Church to Church Partnership in Costa Rica for five years and now works with the Lehigh Presbytery to develop Church to Church Partnerships with Romania. Learn how your congregation can develop a long-term relationship with a church in another country.
