This six-week course is designed for clergy and laity who want to become more effective in ministry with the senior adults with whom they serve. Participants will have an opportunity to improve their skills of communication with older adults, as well as to gain an understanding of the life issues that confront them.
This course will cover the following topics: life review, grief, spirituality and faith, caring for the caregiver, visitation and communication skills, dynamics and issues of dementia and aging, effects of aging on family systems, and community resources.
