Reeves Library serves as the library for Moravian Seminary and Moravian College.
Reeves Library offers Seminary students and faculty an excellent collection of over 250,000 volumes and over 1300 periodicals. All major online and CD-ROM databases are available for research purposes, and the library has a number of specialized microform collections in theology, ecumenism, and hymnology. As the library for the graduate theological seminary of the Moravian Church in America, it features a research collection of Hussite and Moravian materials in many languages. Included are unpublished materials, theses, and dissertations. Materials about countries in which there are and have been Moravian churches are also added to the collection.
The resources available in Reeves Library are greatly enhanced by the library's cooperative agreements with other seminaries, colleges and universities. A cooperative agreement with other Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges institutions makes over two million volumes available by direct loan or daily courier service. In addition, the sixteen cooperating libraries of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Theological Library Association share over 1,750,000 volumes in theology and related disciplines.
This facility is dedicated to the memory of Jeremiah E. Reeves, pioneer steel manufacturer, and his wife, Jane Rees Reeves, a member of the Moravian Church of Dover, Ohio, through the generosity of their grandchildren, Margaret Jane, Helen F. and Samuel J. Reeves.
