The Pastoral Counseling Profession

Pastoral Counseling is a growing segment of the counseling profession. It is a dynamic therapeutic approach to counseling that addresses both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of persons and families in need.

Pastoral Counselors are professional counselors who have had in-depth training in behavioral health and theological disciplines. Their unique approach to counseling is in the integration of the two disciplines.

The Masters in Arts in Pastoral Counseling (MAPC)
Since 1981, Moravian Theological Seminary has offered a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling. Our graduates serve as counseling professionals in clinical agencies, private practices, congregational settings, and in administration in health care agencies.
