MAPC-MSW: Dual Degree Programs

The Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling & Master of Social Work is ideal for students who seek to integrate a spiritual and theological understanding into their practice of counseling AND look to hold an administrative position in a social service/mental health organization.

The MAPC–MSW program requires a total of 94 credits. This can be accomplished in 3 years of full-time study, as compared to 4 years if taken separately. The sharing of comparable requirements for both degrees including field placements, enables the degree to be accomplished in less time than if pursued separately at both institutions.

Background Checks
All students directly engaged in a Supervised Ministry setting as part of their Seminary program, with responsibility for individuals within a congregation or community agency, are required to file the appropriate background record checks with the Director of Vocations and Enrollment. These documents must be current and on file before a student may participate in a Supervised Ministry placement and register for specific courses, which include the following:
