Tuesday Moravian Lunches Planned for Spring 2008

Tuesday Moravian Lunches (TMLs) offer a glimpse of what’s happening in the Moravian Church today. Speakers are asked to share their knowledge on a certain topic, followed by any questions from the group.

This spring the discussions include infant baptism and dedication, Holy Communion and missional leadership. On February 19, Rev. David Wickmann and the Rt. Rev. Blair Couch will address how the Moravian Church practices the sacrement of baptism. On March 11, MTS professor Otto Dreydoppel and Doug Kleintop will speak about the ecumenical partnership, historical practice, and Sunday predicaments of Holy Communion. Our last TML for the academic year will be held on April 15 and presented by members of the Provincial Elders Conference, who will speak about the implications of missional leadership on the Moravian Church.

Tuesday Moravian Lunches are held in the Saal immediately following Chapel, three times a semester. The entire Seminary community is invited to attend this lunch and discussion (You do not have to be Moravian to attend). These events are co-sponsored by the Center for Moravian Studies, Chaplain's Office, and Office of Admissions and Student Life.
