Fall 2009 Semester Begins with Opening Events

The 203rd academic year will begin on Friday, August 28th with the two-day Learning As Ministry Retreat.

Members of the Seminary community and their families are invited to attend the Opening Picnic on Saturday, August 29th, sponsored by the Student Executive Committee. This long-held tradition brings our extended family together every year for an evening of socializing, good food, fellowship and volleyball.

New students are encouraged to attend the New Student Orientation on Monday, August 31st at 8:30am in the DLC (A reception will be held in the lounge of Bahnson Center at 8am). The orientation is an opportunity for new students to meet the Seminary staff, get acquainted with routines and procedures, take a campus tour, and get parking permits and campus IDs.

The 2009 fall semester will officially begin with the Opening Convocation on Monday at 11am. The extended Seminary community is invited to this service of worship and communion, to be followed by a pizza lunch and fellowship. Classes officially begin at 1pm.
