What’s your vocation?

For Christians, much more than a job, a vocation is literally a calling from God to live a life of meaning, purpose, and service, echoing the biblical admonition to “lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called.” (Ephesians 1:1).

In this four week course, drawing from the book Living Your Heart’s Desire: God’s Call and Your Vocation, by Gregory S. Clapper (ISBN: 0835898059), we will explore what it means to listen deeply to the Spirit, to our own hearts, and to one another in discerning what it means to live “God-shaped” lives.

The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.
— Frederick Buechner
