Lori has been a long time member of the Moravian Theological Seminary community both as a graduate of the MA Pastoral Counseling program (2007) and acting as supervisor and adjunct faculty in the Formative Spirituality and Spiritual Direction Certificate Programs. In addition, she received her MA in Holistic Spirituality/Spiritual Direction from Chestnut Hill College (2005).

Lori maintained a clinical practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor for 16 years before retiring in order to focus her energies on the interface of somatic/trauma healing practices and spirituality. She has been a practicing spiritual director for almost 20 years. In addition, she has been trained as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and other various trauma/somatic modalities such as Polyvagal Theory (Deb Dana’s Rhythm of Regulation), Organic Intelligence (Steve Hoskinson) and SmartBodySmart Mind (Irene Lyons). She has also completed a training in Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy and is undergoing training and certification in Quantum Human Design (Karen Curry Parker). In addition to her clinical private practice as an LPC, Lori has served as retreat director and faculty at the Kairos School of Spiritual Formation.

Lori finds ongoing excitement in her studies of the human and spiritual experience and exploring how we are automatically wired for healing and wholeness. When she is not exploring these inner adventures, she is exploring outer ones like long distance hiking which includes a recent 700-mile pilgrimage through Spain.
